When you lose someone important in your life you’re never quite the same again. I lost my dad a few years ago and more recently my mum. Their resting place is a long way from where I live and it got me thinking about how I was going to look after them, that was when Never Forgotten was born.
They always say things happen for a reason and when I was made redundant I decided I didn’t want to go back into the corporate world but look for something that was more fulfilling, Never Forgotten allowed me to do this.
I swapped my daily commute and office job to being outside in the fresh air and helping to maintain a beautiful resting place for other people’s important people.
Setting up my company has put me in contact with lots of different people all with something in common that I can empathise with. I’ve learnt new skills along the way such as floristry and been able to put them to good use immediately.
I wouldn’t swap this new vocation for the world and I hope I can provide a service and make a difference to many more people’s lives in the future.
